Privacy Policy

Applies to: the Help Is Coming mobile app and this website
Audience: adults aged 18 and over

This policy describes how HELPISCOMING LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information for Help Is Coming. It replaces older policies that described retired product identities.

1. What Help Is Coming is
Help Is Coming is a private self-assessment and educational reflection app for adults 18 and over. It supports self-reflection and education. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical or psychological advice.

2. Assessment data stays on your device
Assessment answers, scores, results, and practice history are stored on your device. We do not operate a user-account backend for assessments. We do not sell your answers or scores.

You can delete assessment and practice history in the app settings. Uninstalling the app removes local app data on that device, subject to your device’s own backup settings.

3. Advertising
The launch app contains no advertising and does not use advertising tracking (including advertising identifiers for ads).

4. Analytics and crash telemetry
When privacy-respecting analytics are enabled in the app, they never include assessment answers or scores. Analytics use only a random, app-scoped installation identifier that is not derived from device or account identifiers and that you can clear.

Crash and performance telemetry, when collected, are envelope-only and are not linked to your identity or to questionnaire answers or scores.

5. Purchases and membership
Where offered, optional Help Is Coming membership purchases are processed by the platform store:

On Apple devices: Apple processes payment. Apple’s privacy policy applies to App Store billing.
On Android devices: Google processes payment. Google’s privacy policy applies to Google Play billing.
We do not receive your full payment card details. Store purchase state is used only to unlock the additive membership entitlement (an expanded educational practices library, and only that) where you have purchased it. Your own local practice history is free and is never gated on purchase state.

6. How we protect your information
Help Is Coming is built so that the most sensitive information it handles — your answers, scores, and history — never reaches us at all. These are the safeguards that apply to the information the app and this site do handle.

Data minimization. There is no user account, no sign-in, and no assessment backend. The app ships with no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. Assessment answers, scores, results, and practice history are never transmitted off your device by the app.

Storage on your device. App data is written to the app’s private storage area. iOS and Android isolate that area from other apps through the operating system’s app sandbox and encrypt it at rest with the platform’s own device encryption while the device is locked. Keeping a passcode or biometric lock on your device is the main protection for your local assessment history, so we recommend using one.

Data in transit. The app has no server of ours to talk to. The network connections it does make are opened by the platform’s own store billing component and use the encrypted TLS connections Apple and Google provide for billing. This website is served over HTTPS.

Limits enforced in the build, not only in policy. What an analytics or crash event may contain is fixed by a published schema that forbids advertising identifiers, precise location, email address, phone number, stable user identifiers, and any answer, response, score, or free text. An automated check runs on every change to the app and fails the build if a change would emit any of them. Analytics and crash telemetry are written to the device’s own log and to an app-private file; App Store and Google Play builds of the app have no upload path for them.

Access control. Because no copy of your answers, scores, or history exists outside your device, no one at HELPISCOMING LLC and no vendor can read them. Access to the limited information we do hold — email you send us, store purchase state held by the store, and aggregate product statistics — is restricted to the authorized people who need it for that purpose, through individually authenticated accounts.

Third parties. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or for their own purposes. Apple and Google process your purchase as described in section 5.

Security incidents. If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information we hold, we investigate it, take steps to contain and remediate it, and notify affected people and the relevant regulators where the law requires. No product or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so we do not claim absolute security.

7. How long we keep information
Assessment answers, scores, results, and practice history. Kept on your device until you delete them in Settings or uninstall the app. We set no expiry, because we never receive them and hold no copy of them to retain or to delete.

Agreement acceptance. The app records on your device which version of the user agreement you accepted. It is kept until you uninstall the app. No date of birth or age is collected.

Analytics installation identifier and on-device analytics. Where analytics are enabled, the random app-scoped installation identifier and the on-device event and retention data stay on your device while the app is installed. The on-device retention aggregate keeps event timestamps for at most 400 days and prunes anything older, and the metrics it computes cover a rolling 90-day window. Clearing analytics data in the app deletes that aggregate and issues a new random installation identifier; uninstalling the app removes it with the rest of the app’s local data.

Aggregate product statistics. Where an operator exports the aggregate retention record from a development device they own or are authorized to inspect, the exported record is counts only — no answers, scores, or contact details — and is folded into periodic aggregate reports. Those aggregate statistics are kept indefinitely as product records and cannot be linked back to you. App Store and Google Play installs are not reachable by this export.

Purchases and membership state. Apple or Google keeps the record of your purchase under its own retention policy. Our app receives the store’s purchase confirmation only long enough to verify and acknowledge the transaction; it never writes the purchase token, transaction identifier, store account identifier, or price to storage or to logs. What remains on your device is an on/off entitlement flag, kept while the entitlement is active.

Email you send us. Support, privacy, and legal email is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it, and in any case no longer than 24 months from our last reply, after which it is deleted — unless a longer period is required by law, for example for a tax record or a legal claim.

Website request logs. Our website host records standard technical request data such as IP address and browser user agent in server logs, to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse. Those logs are held by the host under its own retention schedule; we do not use them for analytics or profiling, and this site carries no advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

Deletion. You can delete your local data yourself at any time, as described in section 10. If you ask us at privacy@helpiscoming.app to delete information about you, we act on what we actually hold — in practice your correspondence with us — and tell you if we hold nothing else. Because assessment data never leaves your device, we cannot retrieve it, and we cannot delete it for you.

8. This website
This website publishes product information, legal pages, and static evidence explainers. It is not used to collect assessment answers. Email you choose to send is handled for support, privacy, or legal requests only.

9. Children
Help Is Coming is intended for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children under 18.

10. Your choices
Delete local assessment and practice history in Settings.
Clear the app-scoped analytics installation identifier where the app provides that control.
Manage or cancel any active membership renewal in your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings.
Contact privacy@helpiscoming.app with privacy questions.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The updated text will be posted at this URL. Continued use of the app after an in-app agreement update may also require accepting a new agreement version.

The 25 August 2026 update added section 6 (how we protect information) and section 7 (how long information is kept). It describes existing practice and does not change what the app collects.
