1. What Orbit is

Orbit is an iPhone app that teaches astrology as a cultural and interpretive tradition through your own birth chart. Astrology is a cultural and interpretive tradition with a long history across many societies. Scientific research has not established birth charts or transits as reliable predictors of personality or events. Orbit is for education, entertainment and personal reflection. It does not offer medical, financial, legal or relationship advice.

2. We do not collect your data

HELPISCOMING LLC does not collect any personal data through Orbit. Nothing you enter in Orbit is sent to us. Orbit has no account and no sign-in, and we run no server for it. Orbit’s App Store listing shows “Data Not Collected”.

3. What is stored on your iPhone

Orbit stores the following only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage, with no iCloud sync:

  • Your birth details: your date of birth; your time of birth, if you gave one, and whether it is exact, approximate or unknown; your birthplace name, if you chose one from the list; the birthplace coordinates (from the list, or as you entered them) and time zone; and any manual UTC offset you entered.
  • The lessons you have completed, each with the day you first completed it. Your answers to check questions are not stored.
  • Your reflections: at most one a day, each one of three fixed choices (resonates, partly, not really). There is no free text.
  • Your preferences, including whether you want a daily reminder.

Your birth chart is not stored; Orbit recalculates it on your iPhone when it is needed. XP, levels and your streak are worked out from your completed lessons and reflections and are not stored separately. When you search for your birthplace, the search runs on your iPhone against the list of places built into the app and is never sent anywhere or logged. Orbit never logs your birth details.

4. Backups

Your birth details are stored only on your iPhone. They are not included in iCloud or computer backups, so on a new or restored iPhone you enter them again. The same applies to your lesson progress and reflections.

If Orbit cannot exclude its storage from backups, it keeps your details in memory only for that session and tells you, rather than storing them where a backup could include them.

5. Purchases

Orbit+ is an optional auto-renewable subscription, monthly or annual. Apple processes the payment and handles your purchase under Apple’s own privacy policy; we do not receive your payment card details. Orbit checks your subscription status on your iPhone through Apple’s in-app purchase system and sends nothing to us. You can manage or cancel Orbit+ in the Settings app, under Apple Account, then Subscriptions.

6. No third parties

Orbit shares no data with any third party, because it collects none. It contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no third-party code that receives your data. Orbit does not track you: it does not link any data with other companies’ data for advertising. We do not sell your data.

7. Network use

Orbit has no server and does not need an internet connection to work. The only network traffic is Apple’s in-app purchase system, run by Apple, when you view or buy Orbit+ or restore a purchase.

8. Deleting your data

Delete all my data, in Orbit’s Settings, removes your birth details, your lesson progress (and with it your XP, level and streak), your reflections and your preferences from your iPhone. Your Orbit+ subscription stays with Apple; manage it in your Apple Account settings.

Deleting Orbit from your iPhone also removes its data from that iPhone.

Because we never hold your Orbit data, we cannot retrieve or delete it for you. Emails you send us are handled as described in section 11.

9. Children

Orbit is not directed at children under 13, and its App Store age rating is 13+. Orbit collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR and California’s CCPA give you rights over personal information a company holds about you, including access, correction and deletion. We hold no personal data from Orbit. If you write to us, we act on the information we actually hold, which in practice is your correspondence, and we tell you if we hold nothing. We do not sell or share personal information. To make a request, email privacy@helpiscoming.app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Email you send us and this website

If you email us for support or about privacy, we keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to help you, and at most 24 months after our last reply, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. This page is served over HTTPS by the website’s host, which keeps standard request logs. This website uses no trackers or analytics.

12. Changes

If this policy changes, we post the new version at this address. This policy describes Orbit as it will be released; we check it against the released app before Orbit is made available.
